Sew young...

Our youngest attending member - with her sewing kit! She looks pretty pleased with her efforts. You go, girl! Here comes the next generation of quilters...

Amber King's blocks

Here are Amber King's blocks - great colors and design!

Louise Trew's blocks

Louise Trew's scrappy 16-block. She hand-embroidered each block with multiple stitches - back stitch, chain, French knots. Beautiful!

Annie Fischer's blocks

Scrappy blocks in a simple setting.

Jill Stefanin's blocks

Jill Stefanin used stamps on her blocks, and a great simple setting.

Lorrye Harden's blocks

Here are Lorrye's blocks! What pretty fabric she's picked to go with the two supplied!

blocks have begun arriving

I'm starting this blog about our quilt block exchange to inspire us all in this wonderful undertaking. My plan is to show you pictures of the blocks as they come in, then pictures of the quilts-in-progress, culminating with our quilt show in July! Louise Trew is the first one to get her finished blocks to Peggy. I'll try to get over to Peggy's to take pictures this week and then I'll post them here. Kathleen King's blocks arrived at my house in Friday's mail, so here are some pictures -- they're even more beautiful in person! close-up of flower (embroidered) I'm off to sew... I'll post more inspiration very soon, so check back again! Please feel free to post YOUR comments here, too!! love, annie
